I live and work in the Roseland, Cornwall where I make fragile pottery vases and bowls using porcelain clay which are inspired by the landscape around me.
I begin with pure white porcelain. Into this I mix local raw materials from the side of a river; the excavation of a hole; the edge of a car park; the waste heap of a Cornish copper mine. Geology is at the core of my work!
These materials interact with the porcelain to build vibrant strata of colour and personal interest where the only limit to interpretation is your imagination.
I am an Associate member of the Devon Guild of Craftsmen and also a selected member of Design Nation, a Crafts Council body set up to promote British design by some of the most innovative designers and craftspeople from across the UK.
